WHAT IS IT?
Island Fête is a 2-day outdoor festival celebrating Caribbean food and Black art. This family-friendly event will have guests enjoying authentic Caribbean food while being entertained by Montreal’s best and brightest musicians. BIPOC-owned businesses selling hand poured candles, hot sauces, children’s books and toys, and more will also be showcased in an onsite vendor market. Local artists and DJs will also have guests “fêting” throughout the day.
For families with young kids, we’ll have bouncy castles from 12:00pm to 7:00pm and face painting on site from 12:00pm to 5:00pm for your little ones to enjoy. All ages are welcome.
Island Fête is a fundraiser and the cost to attend is a $5.00 donation for adults, and charge for children under the age of 13. You can also help support Overture with the Arts (OWTA) by offering donations, buying tickets to our onsite raffle, and/or buying treats from OWTA’s baked goods/ snack table.
Rain or shine – We look forward to celebrating with the community on Saturday, August 10 and Sunday, August 11.
