Black History Month – Caribbean Lunch

BLACK HISTORY MONTH LUNCHEON

WHAT IS IT?

Join us on Saturday, February 3rd, as we kick off Black History Month! Enjoy an authentic Caribbean meal prepared by Tasty Touch, live steelpan music from Fatima Wilson, a traditional folk dance performance from West-Can Folk, learn from educator and activist Svens Telemaque, and hosted by the effervescent Miss Trish. To make our event more accessible to young families, we will also have a craft corner, face painter, and mini-drum workshop to keep the little ones entertained. See you there!

Our mission

Overture with the Arts (OWTA) is a non-profit organization based in Montreal, offering education in music, dance, drama and vocal training. Our free and low-cost programs enable young people to pursue their passion in the performing arts when they wouldn’t otherwise have the finances to afford classes. OWTA helps kids find a creative outlet for self-expression and builds confidence and poise. Since 2009 approximately 80,000 youth have benefitted from our programs and school tours.
