Triple AAA Conference

To further examine the struggles that the Black community faces OWTA presents the Triple AAA conference. The conference will showcase well respected public figures who are known to speak bravely and clearly about issues relevant to the civil rights of black people in both North America and internationally. The panel will consist of three artists, athletes and activists who have a demonstrated track record of using their various platforms to speak truth to power.

The panel will share their thoughts, opinions and ideas on how best to navigate the systemic challenges that black people face on a daily basis. It will also celebrate the accomplishments of members of the African Diaspora and acknowledge some of the hard won progress that has been made in the struggle for equal rights. Topics include systemic racism in 2019 and beyond, police brutality and racial profiling, cultural appropriation, black entrepreneurship, and effective strategies for activism and social justice in the digital age.
