Join OWTA for a Caribbean Lunch on Saturday, February 2nd. The event will include an authentic Caribbean meal, live music and a spoken word performance. Hosted by Breakfast Television Montreal’s Catherine Verdon-Diamond, guests will get a sneak peek of Overture with the Arts’ annual Black History Month School Tour, featuring Omari Newton’s special presentation of B.R.A.W.L (Black Revolutionary Activists Women List); a presentation about the many heroic contributions black women have made in the struggle for black liberation throughout history, from slave plantations all the way through present day. One of the inspiring females who we will highlight in B.R.A.W.L is Senator Anne Clare Cools who will be in attendance to share her story with guests.
