Black History Month – Caribbean Lunch

Join OWTA for a Caribbean Lunch on Saturday, February 8th. The event will include an authentic Caribbean meal, live music and a spoken word performance. Hosted by Breakfast Television Montreal’s Catherine Verdon-Diamond, guests will get a sneak peek of Overture with the Arts’ annual Black History Month School Tour, featuring Omari Newton’s special presentation of Tracking Black Canada; a presentation about the focus on the often forgotten histories of early black communities across our country. Special guest, Zanana Akande, will be in attendance to share her story with guests.
